The prayer of the rosary is in reality a variety of prayers, many totally scriptural.

The Didache, the apostolic catechism for the new church, is formed 65-150 in Syria. People are encouraged to say the Lord’s Prayer as commanded in Scripture. They are told, ‘Three times in the day, thus pray.’

The Sign of the Cross; invoking the Holy Trinity

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Tertullian writes, ‘..We mark our foreheads with the sign of the cross’ which stems from the Old Testament (Ezekial 9:4) comments on marking an X on the foreheads of the innocent and (Revelations 7:3, 9:4 and 14:1) the seal on the forehead of the chosen and is seen as a life giving symbol (see Exodus 17:9-14).

From the Hebrew verb, ‘aman’ which means ‘to confirm’ or ‘strengthen.’ The word dates back to Old Testament times as a liturgical response in the synagogue. Used by Christ in the New Testament, it was carried into the Christian as a response and an ending to prayer.

 

It is difficult to see how some Christians can criticize the private prayer life of other Christians. One such criticism centers on the element of repetition of the prayer, "Hail Mary." Even to the casual reader of the word of God it must be apparent that the writers of the Bible and God Himself, used the repetition of words and expressions in prayer.

The Bible uses repetition to indicate emphasis and the highest degree of something.

Is 6:3

"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts!" they (the Seraphim) cried one to another.

The Psalms are a good example of repetition in prayer. Psalm 150 records a twelve-fold repetition in one psalm.
 

 

Conclusion
Therefore, following the Celtic tradition and that of the Anglican Church, The Sodality of the Most Holy Rosary shall be formed in one small church much like the "Community of Saint Columba" and will grow only as our Heavenly Father, in His wisdom and through His Grace, finds a need for such prayer within the body of His Church.
