License to Carry Information

If you reside in the Bay Area/Clear Lake, Texas area and are interested in obtaining your License to Carry (LTC) a Handgun you can contact me. I have a certificate from the Texas Department of Public Safety to instruct the LTC classes. I've been conducting these classes for 20 + years.

If you put together a class of five or more at your home or place of business I'll provide your instruction, then we'll go to a local indoor gun range for the Proficiency Portion of the class.

I charge $80 for the in-house class and for that I provide the handouts for the lecture, the testing materials, and the LTC-104 Certificate to be sent to the DPS. The only other thing you will need to bring will be your handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition.

* * Now TexanCHL.com is offering the approved ONLINE state licensing class for the License To Carry (LTC).

You may take this class from anywhere in the state of Texas and then pick a local Instructor for the Range Safety and Proficiency Portion of the licensing. Any time of the day or night, any day of the week, in the comfort of your home or office, you take the class on YOUR schedule.

After the LTC online class you are required to take a Safety & Proficiency Shooting Test to complete the instructional portion. You may schedule the testing here if you're in the Clear Lake/Bay Area.

Select “Classes” if you’re an experienced shooter, or “Services” for a personal appointment that includes Training, plus the Shooting Test. If another time / day is desired please contact me or use the calendar to schedule it yourself.

If you, or a member of your family, have never shot a handgun and are interested in learning, I also teach the National Rifle Association's Basic Pistol class. This is an EXCELLENT class for first time shooters! See more about this class below.

In addition to the Texas Concealed Handgun Licensing, I'm also an NRA Certified Instructor for Basic Pistol Instruction. This is a great class in safe gun handling, how the gun and ammunition works, and basic steps in learning about this sport.
